Thai Airways Airbus A340-500 services to New York from Bangkok offering lie-flat Business class seats

From May 1, 2005, THAI will fly non-stop from Bangkok to John F Kennedy Airport in New York utilizing the brand new Airbus A340-500 aircraft. With only 17 hours flight time, you can arrive early in New York for business meeting and dazzling attractions all over the city.

The super long-range Airbus A340-500 jet liners will mark a revolutionary step towards the new concept of Royal Silk Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class.

THAI’s Royal Silk Class provides maximum privacy in luxurious, two- abreast shell chairs in which to stretch out, to rest, to work, or to be entertained. The new Royal Silk seating offers 60 inches ( five feet ) of pitch, with 170 degree recline for sleeping.

Completely redesigned cabin interiors will be launched with Airbus A340-500. The decor will be contemporary Thai, with ambient mood lighting and delicate soft furnishings. Lavishly appointed lavatories will be equipped with top-brand toiletries.
