GARUDA INDONESIA BUSINESS CLASS SEAT REVIEW   :   AIRBUS A330-300

Have flown Garuda executive class several times in the last year between Melbourne and Denpasar. Can't say enough about how great this service is. Seats comfortable, although not long enough in sleep mode for me at 191cm tall, food and drink fantastic, and service superb. And big bonus, each flight has been on time or early.

It is not a flat bed, but cradle style seat. Good seat pitch (42 inch) and only 12 seats. Food rest, personal touch screen TV with AVOD are on offer. Service was great, so was the food. If you could find a good bargain (often you could), by all means, give them a try.

Flew Bali-Jakarta-Amsterdam, Business class. Denpasar Domestic terminal business class lounge can hardly be called a lounge, just a few chairs, a bit of food, all very noisy, with constant announcements. Nice flight to Jakarta, plenty of space on Boeing 737-800 (2x2 configuration). The A330-200 to Amsterdam was superb, a very pleasant flight. Spacious, good entertainment (35 films plusmore), very good food, very nice cabin staff. Garuda has 2 sections of business class. Both have 3 rows of 2x2x2, with a screen between both seats if you want more privacy. A total of only 13 people in 36 seats, including a family with a baby, but in second part. Stop in Abu Dhabi at night so all are woken up. One can get out but I kept sitting. All in all a super experience. The "flat bed" is not quite flat, better than Singapore Airlines in their 777's, but not quite so comfortable that I was able to sleep. But I never do in planes.

SYD-DPS, Really impressed with service. A big improvement over the old Garuda. New aircraft, comfortable seats, friendly attendants, nice food, Drinks plentiful. Well worth the cost compared to business class on other airlines.

The seat onboard the A330-300 is not a flat-bed seat, it is a regional route lie-flat. But still it's a great seat, cabin crew are friendly and energetic, IFE screens are bigger than on the A330-200.

Amsterdam to Jakarta on Garada. Despite a stop in Dubai this was a great flight, much better than I expected. Very comfortable seats, extremely friendly cabin staff and great food. This is great value for money.

The new business class seat is very nice with huge pitch and horizontal flat. It is very comfortable for sleeping. The new AVOD system on this seat is very friendly to use with 25 movies to choose from but the screen at 11 inch is too small. The mood lighting on the Executive Cabin really helps as well for a good rest.

Melbourne-Denpasar Business Class. Seats were older 80's style seats, well spaced apart, individual tv screens but only about three channels of movies and the airmap. Also had the big screen showing a movie - very disappointing entertainment. Food excellent, service was very friendly and efficient. A very comfortable flight.
