Toronto-Vienna return, in Executive Class. The service was good, food excellent but the sleeper seats were anything but.
I don't know who recommended these seats to the airline, but Austrian has by far the worst Business Class seating of any
airline that I have flown internationally.

Most uncomfortable business class seats, very narrow, aged entertainment system, good food, good service.

Seat is old compared with other carriers. Fully reclined, it's angled downwards quite a lot, so an
attempt at sleeping was somewhat interesting. IFE system was dated and video quality was lacking thereof.

Austrian Business class seats are hard, narrow and by far not flat - no way for a comfortable sleep.
Service is good, food good.

Wooded seats would have been more comfortable, no padding on the seat bottom. Seat was very narrow, and
did not go anywhere near flat. In fact you sleep at such a sharp downward angle you will slide down,
jamming your feet under the seat in front of you.

Austrian flies a slightly dated 767 with 2-2-2 business seats that recline to a 10 degree angle. You can
sleep in them, using either the foot rest (if you're short) or the contoured back of the seat in front of
you (if you're 6 feet or more). Criticism is that the IFE does not have video on demand. There's a
selection of 8 or so films and documentaries that loop continuously.

I flew business from DEL. The seat is not flat at all, narrow and TV screen has got smaller than previous
flight to DEL. Austrian Airlines business class is very low standard. Will try to avoid.

VIE-PEK return. The seat is not acceptable for a "new" business class cabin. Much too narrow compared to
other similar lie-flat product, very hard at the "joints". Sleeping is possible if you use the blanket as
extra padding. Tend to sleep on the belly, but cannot appreciate it there, due to lack of space for the
arms. Will avoid OS for long flight when ever possible.

Good width and pitch. Seat is angled lie-flat and not that comfortable in flat position - more
comfortable when slightly adjusted towards cradle position.

Vienna-Washington and Vienna-Bangkok roundtrips. Requested vegetarian in advance, not bad, but not very
inventive. The chef cooks up front so food is freshly cooked, which is nice. Not a wide wine selection.
The seat is the hardest business class seat you will experience. Sitting up becomes uncomfortable after a
while. Recline the seat and you are still at an angle to horizontal. I can't sleep well in it. The
entertainment system is worse then you get in economy class in many airlines -limited choice of films and
you have to wait for them to run through before you can watch from the beginning. In conclusion, the food
does not make up for the discomfort of the seat.

Bangkok Vienna flight. 2-3-2 configuration in business class is too packed - pity anyone that gets the
middle seat! Lie-flat but sloping beds very uncomfortable - keep slipping down. Could only really sleep
on my side - and not well. Padding on these seats worse than others with the same configuration.
Entertainment system is very primitive. However, service good and food the best airline food I've had.

Second time for me on the airline's late flight from Dubai to Kiev return. Hate it. The
seat is such a poor offering. Narrow, cramped, too hard. You put your feet in a small
hole it the seat in front. This hole is too small. Sleep in any position but flat on your
back is just impossible. If you are in a window seat, you cannot get out without waking
the person next to you. I got to Kiev completely exhausted. No video on demand, Very poor
screen, no magazine rack, nothing.

IAD-VIE. The overall experience was positive. Austrian cabin crew was extremely attentive
to every detail. The food was high quality. The detractor of this experience is the seat
- it is hard and in the flat position it is almost impossible to sleep. There is a
constant battle against slipping down in the bed position. Additionally, Austrian does
not have a modern on-demand entertainment.

YYZ-VIE. Was surprised at the narrowness of the new seats. As others have said the seat does lie flat
but at an angle of about 8 degrees from horizontal, which makes sleeping more awkward than the older
recliner seats as one tends to slide forward and off the seat. The seat is unbelievably hard. Quality of
food and service would put many top restaurants to shame so I would gladly put up with the seat for my
next trip to Vienna.

Austrian new business class lie flat seat. Good seat in lounge position, but awful when flat. Kept
sliding off the whole time. The 777 has a wide cabin, but 7 seats abreast (2x3x2) in business class is
too many. Was seated in 3A/H and getting out, when the pax next to you has their seat in flat mode, is
nearly impossible. Stay away from the middle seat if you do not know you seat neighbours.

VIE-PEK and back. Reasonable seat, but not really any wider than some premium economy seats. Plenty of
adjustability for different standards of recline, including being able to avoid the sloping flat
position for sleeping. Length ok, but a bit hard, could have done with extra padding. Could sleep ok on
my back, but not so well on my side. When seated was adequate, useful places to store books and other
bits and pieces. IFE was rather old-fashioned not AVOD. Privacy with neighbour is very limited unless
both are fully reclined. The seat really needs to be softer, wider (5 abreast on a 767?) and of course
truly lie flat.
