British Airways First Class and Club World Business Class

BUSINESS CLASS : new seat offers good sleep comfort with improved cushion
support, and better privacy. Length adequate, width good for sleeping. Back to
front layout - some like it, others not! A good sleep. Score : 9/10
FIRST CLASS : older style pod seat. Offers fair sleep and seat comfort,
but now looking tired and lacks support, and privacy. A product that BA needs to
upgrade if it is to match competition. Overall score : 7/10 |

We flew from IAD-LHR-BKK in First on all legs. The sitting position was very
comfortable and made it easy to watch TV or read. I got 5 hours sleep from IAD
- LHR and 7 hours sleep from LHR - BKK. The bed was large enough for me 6'1" to
rest peacefully. We suffered no lag thanks in large part to comfort of these
seats. I joy for such long flights.

Was flown home by my insurance company due to a snowboarding injury in Canada. I
must say, being 6'2" was no problems as the seat/bed where both wide/long enough
to cope with my large frame. If only I could afford to fly business again!

The space is great, as is the legroom but then I'm only 5'7" so I don't require
much length. The seat width is also fine. I love the back to front layout, as I
much prefer to travel backwards. It is easy to convert the seat into a bed; just
requires the touch of a button. Blanket and pillow are also adequate. However,
the all-important comfort factor leaves a lot to be desired. It's akin to
sleeping on a board, in the baking heat. Still it's somewhat better than trying
to sleep sitting upright. One thing that I find particularly annoying on a night
flight (when you are more likely to need to sleep) is the number of passengers
wandering aimlessly from other cabins to use the toilet facilities, and causing
a disturbance.

Best I've flown. Seat slides down to full-length bed and foot rest pops up for folks whose are not
vertically challenged. Couple that with the ability to eat dinner in the BA Lounge in the terminal
and you're set for a full night of relatively comfortable sleep once you can figure out the buttons
to move the seat (not hard at all). My only complaint - I like to sit more upright when taking off
and landing than the locked position of the seat allows. But that's a minor discomfort for a very
short period of time (10-15 minutes). I've flown BA business class a few times now and was
considering trying another airline. I'm glad this website is here.

The seat is too narrow - it doesn't feel much wider than premium economy and at 6' its not really
long enough to stretch out. I'm really surprised the seats are so narrow because there is a huge
aisle on the aircraft which seems like wasted space to me.

Overnight flight, and fortunate enough to be on the Upper Deck in 63b. New Club World cabin, very
quiet and spacious. Relaxing seat environment, personal storage drawer surprisingly useful in
keeping bits and pieces clear of floor/seat, IFE screen could be a little larger and touch-screen
function temperamental (though remote provided). Excellent food and tasteful wine/champagne
selection. FA service throughout flight was competent and friendly, if a little forgetful at times.
All in all a comfortable, enjoyable flight. No arrivals lounge in LHR Terminal 1!

Apart from the passengers foot stool behind me that kept collapsing with the most alarming crash and
the washrooms that could have been kept cleaner, a most enjoyable flight. Very comfortable seat that
is easy to use, managed to sleep very well during the flight. The layout of the seats does make it
difficult for the FA's though in that they have to lean right across passengers to serve meals etc
and if you have a window seat you can find yourself clambering across another passenger if they have
their seat fully down.

LHR - PHX - LHR. New Club World seats, have experienced these before and I really can't complain.
Great service while I was awake (slept for 6 hrs outbound) I find cabin crew on BA always
entertaining and I've been flying with BA since they started this PHX route 12 years ago Food &
wine was good but AVOD was not working!! It's terrible to say but it never does on this route but
the reason I choose to fly Club is to sleep, on long haul it's the only way and I never get jet
lagged. Great fligthts both ways and I just love PHX Airport, it's like my second home but it's
just great!.Overall BA in my opinion are the best, they just need to sort the inflight entertainment
situation out. Just one other thing to mention is that the configuration on both sectors was First,
WTP, Club and WT so this meant that WTP were able to leave the aircraft before Club passengers,
slightly annoying!

LHR-HKG. Excellent check-in and lounge at LHR. Perfect flat bed on the upper deck, and new AVOD
system, which is somewhat flimsy as you always get to press the wrong button. Good Meals.

New Club World Upper Deck. I had an aisle seat near emergency exit, so the neighbor could escape his
seat via exit row. The upper deck is very quiet, so I recommend it.
