This aircraft looks like circa 1980. An old chair with short pitch and limited recline. No legrest - but a
drop down foot rest under the seat in front. There are quite a few airlines offering a better seat than this in
premium economy. The retro theme continues with faded purple fabric and a TV set into the front wall of the
business cabin. The aircraft is rolled out for the 4 hour flight from Shanghai to Bangkok - but falls drastically short
of the product offered by Thai International on the same sector. The poor cabin is well matched with poor catering
and no access to the fastrack at Bangkok on arrival. Even 3 stars seems overly-generous for this product.

169 degree angled flat seat was comfortable in upright and sleep mode with infinite adjustment. Even for me at 2m tall I
found it comfortable to sleep on, even though I did tend to slide down during the night.

Angled seats for long haul flight from London to Shanghai - comfort is okay but don't count on sleeping
the whole flight. Staff service is fair to good but catering was very hit and miss. In all fairness China
Eastern does what it says on the tin - its a 3-star airline and if you fly with these expectations you
shouldn't be disappointed.

The seats do not lie flat but are comfortable and quite easy to sleep in. The headphone set in business
is a lot worse than an economy headset for any 4 star airline.

Shanghai to Los Angeles. The seats were very old, reclining a joke and more like the rack then
a business class seat. My legs kept falling asleep since the cushion was lower then the leg
rest, cutting circulation to my legs. There is no privacy as your fellow biz class compatriots
lean into each others space.

Shanghai Pudong PVG to Vancouver. Business class seats must be of the older style. It only reclines back to maybe 150 degrees. And when the person in
front reclines while I am sitting up, the back of his seat almost touches my knees. The food quality is poor -- stay away from the "western" style
breakfast.
