Overall comfortable. But nowhere near the standards of other airlines who over fully flat bed seats. The 170 degree inclination is not comfortable for a long journey.

GLA-EWR Business Class. Cabin was fairly dated and the narrowbody was not great on a transatlantic flight. The seat was fairly wide and plenty of legroom. However, the IFE was dire: very few choices and a tiny in-arm screen. The seat had very little privacy and did not recline fully flat. The food was better than average for Business class.

Continental's seat can't compete with the likes of British Airways. They are old-fashioned and not terribly comfortable for more than a four-hour trip. IFE also is old-fashioned and not on demand. When everyone is fully reclined, it can be very difficult to get out of a window seat.

MAN-EWR on 767. The seats are very wide and reasonably comfortable when sitting. Sleeping however is not as comfortable due to the old style cradle seats. The food was pretty good and the cabin crew were very attentive. IFE is pretty poor and is not on demand.

IAH-LGW-IAH: I thought the seats were very roomy. The service and food was excellent. There was plenty of storage space either in the seat back or in the overhead compartment. However, I agree about problems with the seat in the sleeping position. I keep sliding down. After check in at LGW, I was given a pass to the Emirates lounge. Very posh with excellent food. The return flight service was excellent. They need to upgrade their seat, or I'll switch over to BA.

Equipment showing age, not competitive with Cathay and Singapore. Seats extremely uncomfortable, no lumbar support - difficult to operate positions, etc. Configuration is tight -- seat in front is in your face. Food still better than most. On 15+ hour flight cabin attendants spend a great deal of time chatting with each other

The seat despite not being 180 is still comfortable. As for the service, this is where other airlines manage to run past Continental. Would it take that much more for the FAs to take their time as they go through meal service; it is a 15 hour flight after all. Would it take so much effort to tidy up the cabin!
