The one good thing that can be said for this trip is the seat does go flat. It's basically the old United first class seats that were torn out a few years ago. No privacy except a tiny screen that flips up. El Al sells this as a first class seat with business class service, gets you 2-2-2 seating instead of 2-3-2. Selection of mostly-dated in flight movies on decent IFE system. The crew was reasonably good-spirited and apologetic for the food quality.

The flat seat mode is angled, meaning that I slipped down the chair while sleeping. The foot rest is at a lower angle, making it difficult to sleep on your side. I switched to the recline seat mode, but I'm on the taller side (83cm), and I found the arm rests to be about 2 cms too low for me to reach them, really tiring them out. The armrests are too low in sitting up mode also.

Cabin configured 2-3-2. Seat was better than I expected; it is angled seat but I slept well. Some clever stowage compartments - just make sure you check them all before you disembark!
