BUSINESS CLASS : Angled lie-flat seats offered by Malaysia on long haul aircraft. Comfort levels are mid ranked
overall, with a sliding down feeling when the seat is fully reclined. Seat pod format provides reasonable privacy,
although the seat pitch does mean that window seat passengers have difficult access in/out of seat when adjacent aisle seat in full recline.
In the sitting / relaxing position, the seat comfort standards are satisfactory. Score : 7/10
FIRST CLASS : The new First class flat-bed seats offer a good sleep comfort in full recline, and the bed surface offers
a good flat surface. The seat cushion support is on the firm side, but overall seat width is reasonable. The seat pods have privacy shields
but the actual privacy afforded is somewhat limited. Super-sized washrooms are a welcome addition to this new MAS First class cabin.
Score : 8/10 |

LHR-KUL-LHR. Excellent seat complete with ottoman and lie-flat 'bed'. Pyjamas and duvet to complete
sleeping experience. Large airey toilet and whisper-quiet cabin. Spoilt for choice for meals, drinks
and TVOD. Cabin crew superb as always regardless of class of travel. Complete experience marred only
by disinterested ground staff at both airports and Business Class passengers barging in front of
First.

AMS-KLIA, SYD-KLIA-AMS Perfect for sleeping: the seat gave enough of privacy, both when sitting and
sleeping, the bed was fully flat, and especially I enjoyed travelling on seats 1A and 1K with my
partner. Moreover, the seat was very relaxing/comfortable, when semi-reclined,

SYD-KUL-CDG. Staff on both flights were very attentive and efficient. Meals and drinks high quality
airline food. The lie flat beds were quite comfortable. Lounge area at Sydney and KL were good but
facilities at CDG (Air France) were quite average. |

Airy cabin with mood lighting gave excellent first impression. Attentive, yet discreet cabin crew
gave superb service, with excellent food and beverage. Seat/ bed excellent and very adjustable.
IFE had very large screen and huge choice. |

MEL-KUL-AMS . Impressed by new lie (almost flat) seats but agree that
slight falling sensation can be disconcerting. Service excellent |

KUL-MEL. Try to avoid traveling on the 777 where at all possible. The seats are
considerably narrower than those on the 747. The 747 has 10 seats across in
economy and 7 across in Business Class, the 777 has 8 seats across in economy
and still 7 seats across in Business! (And the aisles are not smaller). There is
however a larger distance between you and the seat in front of you. If you are
on the 777 I recommend row 5 as there are four rows in the main cabin then the
galley followed by one further row of business class. As for the seat itself, do
not sit on the seat whilst setting it to the sleep position. If you find
yourself sliding down as most people do, use the electronic controls to adjust
the footrest to create a sort of ‘v’ shape. This should avoid any sleeping
issues. |

KUL- ADL in new business class seat - didn't sleep at all well as only being 165cm, kept sliding down until I felt like I was
standing to sleep. Apart from this, new seats are comfortable in all other positions and very easy to use. Enjoyed the new 'quilt'
rather than the blanket. AVOD choice was somewhat limited if you had done more than 1 long haul flight in a row. |

As many others have found out, the angled flat bed just isn't a truly flat bed. I felt like sliding down the seat, you have to
imagine your body weight distributed not along your back, but rather as if you were standing on the footrest. This recent investment
by MAS to refurbish the business class seats was an opportunity for MAS to be truly the leading Asian airline to offer flat beds in
business class. I'm wondering how close the trade-off was between flat beds and angled ones (ie how many more seats created as a
result). |

On a flight from KUL-LON, I had the pleasure of enjoying the new business class cabin. The seats were very impressive. Seemed a bit
narrow in the pictures, but was actually very wide - at least an inch of free space around me. Good tray table that folded out of the
way easily. In full recline, I had a slight sensation of falling down, but n simple adjustment of the footrest sorted that out. I'm
1.74m tall. Also, very comfortable to sleep in the "sideways" position in full recline, but those who usually sleep with their backs
to the bed may find it easier to sleep in the "stretched out" position (look at the seat diagrams and these "positions" will become
clear). |
