Manila-LAX. Plane was reconfigured but Mabuhay Class seats as a disaster. The food was horrible and entertainment was bad. However the most horrible thing about this is that if I got a window seat and the person on the aisle seat reclined to the lie-flat position and there was know way of getting out to use the restroom.

I would describe Philippine Airlines Business Class as virtually a wider economy seat with a better service and a better meal. Leg room cramped, the seat has very little recline and when the passenger in the row in front reclined access to the aisle is most difficult. Not worth the extra cost over economy.

The seat is wide with some slight recline. But the biggest disappointment is the pitch, which is like being in economy class on other airlines. It is cramped and uncomfortable. For those seated by the window, getting access to the aisle is a real effort. Philippine Airlines needs to decide if they want to offer a true business class or something that vaguely resembles it.

New mabuhay class seating, which is a sloped 170 degree recliner. The seat width was adequate and the comfort was good enough to get a bit of sleep.

Angled flat seat is an improvement on their old seat, but recline isn't comfortable for sleep. Surprised that PAL chose a rather out of date seat after so many years of deciding how to upgrade the Mabuhay cabin. Seats felt cramped on return flight that was full, and got trapped into a window seat on 1 sector. A seat to avoid if you are looking for a comfortable ride.
