I was seated in seat 3K, which was good as there was only 10 seats in our section, where First Class would normally be
located. As for the seat I found it pretty comfortable and the width was not bad, however once the seat was put into the
bed position it was a different story and nearly impossible to sleep as I kept slipping down and could hardly move my
feet and I am a regular 6 foot tall guy. As for the privacy it is tiny and makes you wonder why they even bothered with
them. What I also found poor was the TV screen only being 10" and a poor choice of movies etc to watch. There is also no
seat storage space and it was also hard to climb over the person next to me without waking them. Nevertheless the staff
where excellent and the food was nice along with a good choice of drinks.

LAX to Auckland. Pods are okay, if it is not fully packed in Business. Pods slope down even in the fully reclined
position so you are constantly pulling yourself up. Seat is not padded well or wide enough - I visualize sleeping on an
ironing board inclined at approximately 5 degrees. Seating upright is ok, the Pod seat has a lot of adjustments but is
very under padded. TV is hard to work and hard to see - like a 1990 laptop LCD. Service/food is good, but nothing like 15 years ago.

Singapore 1st class lounge was full to overflowing, food selection was poor. Onboard, the usual pre take off drinks,
seats good, menu, wine list all ok - but something missing. In my section there was a young "member of the team" who was
trying her best to deal with 10 passengers. No idea how many other "team" members were on board but none of them helped
this poor lass. She did her best. The food was good, the wine list excellent but After finishing my first course I
settled back enjoying a documentary, when a male "team" member cleared the table, including place mat, napkin and
settings. I smiled and asked him if he would replace the settings for the main course. No "sorry" just a flounce off
and replace with bad grace and nary a smile. Pity all the nice attendants are up the back - this guy was an appalling
advertisement for QF.

Business class seats are not beds like other airlines they just tilt back, and continually make you slip down during
the night. Qantas must look at themselves very closely if they are to remain competitive in the world of travel.

Flew A380 from LAX in first, seat 3A . First class experience and better than Boeing 747 first class. The
seat is very comfortable - and in sleep position the sheepskin underlay takes away any lumps and bumps . Food was
delicious in dinner and breakfast . Flight attendants 10 out 10.

London to Sydney (via SIN). Comfortable wide seat for sitting and excellent for sleeping. The swivel feature allows
for more privacy. Storage space is reasonable but not excessive. Meals were good but not a noticeable step up
from Qantas Business - quite disappointing, apart from some delicious champagne (Comptes). The VOD had to be
reset twice in my seat which was frustrating since it takes more than 10 mins to do each time. The variety in
programs is average and is seemingly not updated often enough (as a frequent flyer). Staff were friendly but
lacked attention to detail on all accounts - including basic mistakes like missing cutlery for meals, forgetting about
drink orders etc. For the prices Qantas charges for its First cabin, I would recommend flying in Business or
selecting a different airline's First for the real premium/luxury experience.

Travelled Singapore to London. Seat was a bit narrow, but flat bed was fine and allowed for adequate seat. The
massage function was a nice touch. Service was great, food and wine selection were very good.

Flew in 1A LAX-SYD. Initial take-off position is a bit awkward - bulkhead directly in front, and the seat is several feet
away from the windows so you really don't get a good view outside. However, the 17" TV with the tail camera helps a lot!
After some experimentation I found an extremely comfortable position for watching a movie, although I had to give that up
when the meal service began. 1A has a small amount of traffic by it, but being near the lavatory isn't a big deal because
there are only 4 people behind you that use that aisle for access. When you're swiveled to watch TV or eat, you don't
notice people walking by. The mattress pad was thick and extremely comfortable. Seat was wide enough for me to sit
on one side and lay my book down next to me.

The seat was comfortable and quite to recline or move to an upright position. Some of the downsides were the fact that
the screen was smaller than anticipated and the selection of shows and movies were average.

What a disappointment on so many levels. I flew in first on the A380 that Qantas uses for the LAX to MEL
flight. I had an "A" window-side suite thinking it would offer more privacy. It did not. Because the
cabin crew pretty much allows a passenger to convert the seat into a bed whenever the pax wants, and
because converting from seat to bed takes so much work and makes so much noise, nearby passengers (like
me) get jarred out of their sleep. The swivel seats are gimmicky and the ottoman is too small. AVOD
screen is large but the choice of programming is poor compared to other carriers like NZ and CX. The
cabin temp was much too warm and seats have no air vents. Catering was very, very poor. The product is
simply not worth the cost and I can't recommend it to you.

I flew in first class on one of Qantas' older 747-400 aircraft from Brisbane to LAX, in seat 4E. While
these older style seats don't offer a great deal of privacy, I found them to be at least equal to if not
superior to the new first-class "suite" on the A-380. The seat offers good comfort for sitting and I was
able to get 5 or 6 hours of comfortable sleep. The pop out tray table is large and allows you to easily
get up out of the seat. Because the beds don't have to be assembled or made up, the nose-area cabin
remained quiet and peaceful throughout the flight and the blue lighting was very relaxing. The AVOD
screen is the one disappointing surprise; the screen was very small and the Q system programming offered
little selection and was cumbersome to use. On the other hand, catering and cabin crew service were
excellent in all respects. I hear that Qantas plans to eliminate first class on its 747 aircraft, which
to me is a shame. With some updating, the first class product on the Qantas 747 is vastly superior to
the first class suites on the A-380.

Pod seats are good, but they slope down, so that I found myself constantly having to pull myself up the
slope. Seats in BA and NZL are simpler and far superior.

My first thought when going into the business cabin was the sense of space. You have a lot more room than
on the usual Qantas business class flight. The seat was excellent. I struggled to sleep on the previous
flights due to the angled flat sets, however no such problem here.

I find the "pod" design seat extremely hard, rigid and terribly uncomfortable even when sitting as there
is a bar that goes right underneath you. You cannot put the seat in full recline position as you end up
with your feet lower than your head and you continually slide down. Not too sure what it does for your
blood circulation in this position. All night you hear people adjusting the controls to get into a
position that is semi comfortable. I also find there is hardly any privacy with just a tiny little screen
and the person in the window seat has to climb over the top of you. This flight had 3 seats in the
middle row - more like Premier Economy than Business Class. Video screens are miniscule. All in all a
pathetic attempt at a decent seat.

Hard seat base and sloped angle when fully extended make it really hard to sleep because you feel like
you are sliding off. I am a side sleeper I have to pad the seat with folded blankets to overcome the pain
factor. Privacy could be improved by extending the size of the privacy divider.

London Heathrow - Hong Kong on the Upper deck in 17J (Aisle Seat). Row 16 is the must have row on the
upper deck. No seat directly in front of you due to the emergency exit and a TV that comes out of the arm
rest. Seat is quite hard and rigid upright but comfy when 85% flat. I'm not a fan of these beds that have
a slope but it wasn't too bad. IFE average at best. Food and service was excellent. The seat on BA is far
better and you don't get someone having to jump over you to relieve themselves, but the food and service
on Qantas ahead of BA.

When entering the cabin I was surprised to see how dated it was with the wood finish. But the seat was
comfortable and amenities plentiful. The sleep suit was good quality and plenty of pillows. The toilet
was of a higher standard than others and was always clean. VOD was very good and plenty to watch.

Seat is far too narrow. Service is friendly and attentive, food good, with reasonable selection of wines.
Onboard lounge is a nice touch though the seats are not designed for you to linger there too long!
