I was pleasantly surprised that despite being angled, I did not slide down the seat
(probably thanks to the design of the fabric--the seats are not leather). In fact, the
sleeping position was quite comfortable. The cabin had a spacious feel with a 2x2x2
layout & plenty of pitch between rows. These are not pods, but you do benefit from a
wider seat as a result; length is good as well. Some people have complained that one
armrest is higher than the other - I agree this is an unusual design. Service was
attentive, but TG food is still lacking in quality.

The seats are lie flat and on all my flights I had a very good sleep. Also for daylight
flights the seat is comfortable. IFE is good but not outstanding. Service is also good but not
as perfect as with MAS or SIA.

Thai Airways has very different equipment in business class. The route from New Zealand to
Bangkok for instance has top-of-the-line flatbed seats with top-notch entertainment system. On
my home route Bangkok - Copenhagen, they are flying completely outdated, beat-up old 747s with
worn-out seats which are horrible.

Pleasant cabin crew who are their to make you comfortable and don't hassle you to "get your
table in the upright position an hour before landing!" Fully flat seats quite comfy and the
inflight pyjamas really help you relax. Good IFE choice and comfy headphones.

AKL-BKK. Angled lie flat seat looks narrow but surprisingly comfortable and has pleasant
massage function. Large degree of adjustability helps make up for angled design when
sleeping. Privacy screen and big IFE screen both welcome. Easy to relax in this seat when
not sleeping, only major frustration is difficulty in manually lowering armrest at window side
when fully reclining.

The seat is narrow and a big person would find it too small. It reclines into an angled lie-
flat bed. Seating position is not comfortable. In the lying position, you get some privacy
because of the shell that surrounds the seat. The seat has only one armrest. The other side
lies the seat divider, which is slightly higher than the arm rest. This puts you in the
awkward position of having one arm higher than the other. I cannot fathom why it is designed
this way. Very good legroom.

Bangkok- Tokyo. The seats were something out of the 80's, extremely limited entertainment, 15
channels of rubbish, no games - no PC points, very old and worn seats.

Very wide comfortable seats with press button full recline. I had the best sleep ever. They could do with a little
more storage space but other than that fantastic. Individual seat configuration so you didn't have to disturb the
passenger next to you if you needed to get up.

Business class seats have a huge amount off leg room yet fail to lay flat and the covering is smooth either leather
or whatever, the result is when trying to sleep you slip down the seat. I awoke to find myself half way down the
seat on numerous occasions. Would then crank myself back up and start to slip down again.

This was a shell seat with an angled flat bed. This is not the best seat in the world but I found it perfectly
satisfactory for sitting and sleeping. There was a nice large screen on the seat in front (the screen for bulkhead
seats is smaller and in the armrest) and the blanket was almost a quilt. I think there was a massage function.
Overall, I'd put it on par with the seats that Cathay are just phasing out. Beware that seating is 2x3x2 in a B777 -
so, unless you like middle seats, its worth getting the allocation done before arriving at the airport!

We booked the 777-300 flight out of Brisbane to Bangkok in Business Class only to find out on boarding that Thai
brought in one of there oldest aircraft in service. The old fashion business class seats were terribly stained, seat
material ripped, tray table faulty, private TV wouldn't stand upright so you couldn't watch movies. This was one of
the most uncomfortable flights experienced. The seats were so old and uncomfortable and certainly not the flat seats
we were promised by Thai who stated that all their flights out of Brisbane were new equipment.

Cabin is configured 2-2-2 and feels much more spacious than 2-3-2 config on other carriers and less claustrophobic
than Etihad or Air New Zealand. Seat is ok for sitting but I find the 'break' is just where I want to lie for
sleeping. I know now to carry my own self-inflating pillow as you are not always guaranteed to be able to get
another pillow from the crew.

PEK-BKK in 11K and BKK-PEK in 16A, old style business seats offer good cushioning and comfort in sitting position.
This was a very outdated 747 with the old exterior paint scheme. Seat 11K, first row on upper deck offers good
privacy but poor leg room. Seat 16A exit row on upper deck has miles of leg room and access to the storage bin
under window. I flew this route in June-July on a brand new 747 with the new lie flat shell seats which was vastly
superior. Check-in, immigration fast-track and business loung all exceptional. Flight crew didn't seem happy but
service was acceptable.
