This was Thai's new sleeper seat. I had an opportunity to use these on 5 airlines in 10 days, and the Thai
airlines lie "almost" flat pod seat was the bet of this type. It lay flatter than its QANTAS, JAL, SWISS
and ANA counterparts, and this made a huge difference. Perhaps a little on the firm side, the seat was
generally well designed. The service on board was impeccable, unobtrusive and stylish.

LAX-BKK-PEN. The business sleeper class was above average compare to other Asian competitors. It wasn't
flat bed but comfortable enough for a 6-foot tall guy to sleep 10 hours without interruptions. In-flight
service was just an average.

I recently flew first class from London to Bangkok on 747 and beds were excellent, however from Madrid to
Bangkok on 1 June 2008 on first class, they still use the old system. 2 together. If the adjoining seat
is occupied then you have to climb over the other passenger to exit. It is time for Thai to upgrade on
this route

BKK-JFK. Dreadful seats, narrow with unequal height armrests - who invented that?! Can't believe this
was an almost new aircraft. Thin seat cushions allowing the hard frame of the seat to press through - not
what you want on a 17hr run. Wouldn't have minded if the price reflected the product but it didn't.

Frankfurt-Bangkok vv. Thai's First class seats are very comfortable, service is good but not outstanding.
Had a very good sleep on both flights. The only problem is, that Thai uses two types of B 747 with
different seats. You are never sure that their latest product is used on your flight. If they use the
older version, you feel like in the 90's of the last century, very outdated and uncomfortable.

I flew BKK-Incheon in March 2008; seat 22A. Standard, old-fashioned Business Class cabin and seat on this
5-hour night flight

Flew AKL-BKK, seat 12D, on a 12.5-hour day flight. Relatively new cabin (VOD) and seats
(although already showing signs of wear), which can go flat but not horizontal. Of average comfort level
for this type of seat. Extremely attentive service and very good wines.

Good range of adjustment of seat. Not horizontal but still managed to get a few hours sleep on 12 hour
flight. Not the best business class seat around but not the worst either.

Upper deck row 16 - best seat in the house. New 'pod' seats are a huge improvement over the old TG seats
which are well past their sell by date but still on many routes

LHR-BKK-LHR - the new style seats on the upper deck which gives a feeling of privacy. No complaints with
space provided and managed to get several hours sleep on both flights. Royal Silk service at the new
Bangkok Airport was outstanding.
