BUSINESS CLASS : Angled lie-flat seats offered by THAI Airways on many of their long haul aircraft. Comfort levels are mid ranked
overall, with the sliding down sensation when the seat is fully reclined. Seat pod format provides some privacy,
but the seat pitch does mean that window seat passengers have difficulty with access in/out of seat when adjacent aisle seat in full recline.
Score : 7/10
FIRST CLASS : The new First class flat-bed seats provides a very good sleep comfort in full recline, although the seat cushions
are somewhat uneven when fully flat, and a mattress enhnancer is required. The seat pods have small privacy shields, and
the individual privacy levels are not as good as some other airline F Class seats. Nevertheless this new seat is comfortable, and a great
improvement on the older, conventional styule flat seats that are still on some B744 aircraft operated by THAI. Score : 8/10 |

Had four flights with new seats. they are wonderful. Wide and very comfortable. Can be moved to any desirable position and cushions are
soft enough. Huge table for dinner/work. Only ten seats in the nose of 747 (14 for BA). The seats work well, the AVOD offers huge
selection of recent movies and starts right after takeoff. Never encountered a technical problem with AVOD. I cannot think of better F
seats. And F&B is superb. TG took a long time to upgrade their antique seats, but the product is now fantastic.

BKK-LON. I am 6 ft 2ins and "well-built" and had no trouble dropping off for a few hours shut-eye. Very comfortable lie-flat single
seat in new first class cabin. Excellent service, can't wait to do it again. |

BKK to LHR on 17th December 2006. Notwithstanding Thai's UK internet site indicating that their new style business class applies on
this route, ours was the old style. Dated, worn looking and very uncomfortable seats, with miserable in-flight entertainment on very
poor quality screens. The food was uninspiring, and (surprisingly) the service average at best. All in all, sadly a thoroughly
unpleasant experience. |

On our last flight (Bangkok-London) we had the first 2 seats, left hand side upstairs - which proved to be most comfortable with lots
of legroom, individual small screen TV sets, excellent food and bar service - and a most attentive flight crew. Cabin crew is very good
service. |

BKK-KWI (via DXB) - Old seating, and uncomfortable too. The foot rest was designed for someone less than 4ft tall, as to use it means
your knees are bent to an uncomfortable angle. And there are no foot rests on the seat in front. Take sturdy hand luggage and use this
as a foot rest during the flight. |

The 1st class seats in the A340-600 are fantastic, the F & B service almost perfect, and the table top great for working. On the final
BKK to AKL return I flew Business Class; just as good, but not flat like First. |

I travelled with Thai's new lie-flat seats from Melbourne to BKK, and I must say that I found the seats to be very enjoyable. The
entertainment system was wonderful. Full on-demand videos etc with play/pause/rewind etc. The in seat massage function was nice, so was
the adjustable lumbar support. Overall, great seats (much better that SAS's new lie-flat in business class), great entertainment - not
so good service. |

BKK-LHR. A vast improvement over the 7441 seating -only 26 seats upstairs and angled lie flat seats - not perfect the angle is a little
too steep but nevertheless very good - AVOD at last and good service. Slept well with some adjustment to the flattest setting.

Auckland to Bangkok on the new Airbus 340 The semi Bed was excellent, and Bangkok to London on B747 - that seating has also now been
upgraded to a semi bed. A great improvement. |

FRA-BKK and enjoying the new first class cabin of Thai. The new flat seat is excellent and I could sleep undisturbed. Another, often
not considered advantage is that there now are mostly single seats instead of 2x2 arrangement. So you are no more dependent on a "lucky
draw" who might be your neighbour. |

Tokyo to Bangkok on nearly new A340. New seats superb. Wide, good recline and adjustment options, massage facility and all the usual
extra amenities - in seat power, IFE is on demand etc. A great change, and if THAI can reproduce these changes and improvement in other
cabins, the airline will be hard to beat. |

Munich-Bangkok-Munich in february and it was very comfortable. The comfort in F-class depends on the aircraft type Thai uses.Only in
version 7442 Thai offers flat beds but the leg room here is less than in the old type. The problem is, that half of their long haul
fleet is version 7441/74431, so every time it is like a lucky draw. |

On TG with the newer seats I never have any problems sleeping. On planes with the old F seats (and if you don't have anyone next to
you) you can get the crew to remove the middle console/armrest so you will almost have a double bed. |

The First Class Seats on the Boeing 747 are adequate bearing in mind what I paid for my ticket. Seats are narrow and whilst back rest
is 180 degrees flat, the footrest is at angle, meaning you need to wedge a pillow under your leg. Service continues to be excellent |

I travelled on a return trip from Melbourne to Frankfurt via Bangkok in September. All four flights had the new sleeper seats and I
found them very comfortable. While you don’t have the same privacy when seated upright as some other airlines, but once reclined you
have complete privacy. I slept well so that is always the best measure. |

The newer first class sleeper seats (Bangkok to London) have less leg room than the older type (Melbourne to Bangkok flight) due to the
hard casing in front of you as distinct from the open leg room of the older model. |

On some 747-400 aircraft Thai has the newer flat bed seats in First Class, and these are reasonably comfortable - first generation if
you know what I mean. They are a bit narrow though, and you feel very close to your neighbour in the seat next to you. |
