Very wide comfortable seats. Would be better if they were flat-bed but no complaints. Overall experience in Transaero's business class was above my expectations.

Imperial Class seats are configured in a 1x2x1 format and recline fully flat using electronic controls. The leather seats are cream and brown and maintained to a reasonable standard. Sleep comfort is good; however the length of the flat-bed is tight for taller pax. The sleep comfort could be improved if Transaero provided a better quality of pillow / duvet as I found this only equated to Business Class standard when compared to many airlines.

DME-PEK. Seats are configured 2x3x2 - I would not be happy to sit between 2 passengers if the flight had been full. The seats are old fashioned and recline approximately 13" and do not match up well against flatbeds that so many other airlines now offer on long haul routes. With a number of different controls in the seat, it was difficult to understand exactly what each control does, and if they were all functioning correctly. Seat comfort was good for the upright position and sleep was possible but I would favour an airline with a flatbed.
