The new pods are too narrow and make traveling with young children impossible.
If you want to sit with your traveling partner, you may want to consider another
airline.

Lie Flat individual suites angled at 45 degrees to flight direction, business
section is divided in 2 with 1 lavatory at front and 2 in middle with all the
Galleys. The individual suites are a little narrow and give you a claustrophobic
feel to it. Being 1m83 (6ft) and weighing 95 Kg (210lbs), I am probably close to
the limit of comfort in these new suites. The angle of the suites can give out a
strange weight shift to one side during take off but after that, there is no
apparent effect. Service no way near the quality and attention you get on most
Asian airlines. The touch screen is hard to reach without moving your body
forward. The choice of TV shows and movies was below average. The news, games or
map display were not functioning during the whole flight. The remote control was
useful only to adjust the volume as other buttons did not work.

The old style cabin with 1x2x2 layout is spacious. Seat was armchair style which
permitted sleep but not as sleep inducing as true lie flat. Stay away from
single seat at rear of cabin as windows and seats are misaligned and you cannot
see outside without leaning way forward! IFE old central screen but digeplayers
offered. Headphones are cheap and nasty.

Agree that this is better than old AC seats, but do not like the compartment /
pods. High side walls make it feel oppressive, and the strange angle into middle
of the plane is disconcerting. When you lie down to sleep, this feeling of
constriction gets worse. Flat bed okay, but reckon AC will regret this seat
style in time. May squeeze in most seats, but not a pleasant experience for fare
paid.

New seats quite comfortable, but for taller (and wider) passenger this is not
ideal. Squashed in and kept hitting controls by mistake. Now they have changed
the seats, why dont Air Canada improve the staff service. On this trip, staff
were yawning, bored and determined to clock-watch for the service and stand in
the galley talking (and moaning about their pay from what I head!).
